My partner and l both have the flu and were worried it would damage our chances of conceiving. Would the flu hurt his sperm or my egg? l have avoided all medications (except for cough lollies) but he has been using antihistamines, cough syrup and nurofen and panadol. l have also continued my womens' multi vitamins and folic acid supplements. Would being sick hurt our chances?
Sorry you have the flu. Do you guys even feel like having sex like that? Why not just wait and try again next month? Do not stress yourself out or it will be even harder to conceive.

Any illness, including viral infections, can cause physical stress to our body and may have an impact on ovulation. In general, though, a mild cold should not put undue stress on the system or affect your ability to conceive.
