Sure it is with all meds & taking more wo not help - they r meant to work at that dosage. At this point, I would see an Ear Nose & Throat Doctor to find out what the problem is because there r prescriptions medications that can help.

Also - there is a risk with these meds & sinus meds that using them too often & too much can cause the symptoms that u r trying to treat - oddly enough. For example, people who overuse nasal sprays worsen their condition - quickly, overuse Tylenol - get headaches frequently, etc - so u may be doing this. These r called ''rebound effects''

You have to find out the prob - if it is allergies, there r shots - if it is something else - they may be ablte to fix it so u do not need any medication at all. But - OTC for too long is never good - that is why on the back of the packages it normally says to consult a dr if condition worsens or does not improve within X amount of time.

Yes, it is possible for ur body to get desensitized to a certain drug. It is not definite that it will happen, but it is a possibility. Your body is very adaptive. If you're finding that a certain brand is no longer working for you, try to switch brands. Each drug works slightly or dramatically different, even though they both block the same histamines.
